Upcoming Trainings

Two courses are currently available utilizing eQUEST as the primary energy analysis tool. Please click the link above to see upcoming training dates and availability:

Introductory one day course:

The introductory one day course begins with the basics of energy analysis calculations and ends with building your first energy model. The topics covered include:

  1. Energy Model Calculations - Loads, response factors, system calculations
  2. Basics of eQUEST file structures
  3. Wizards, Importing Drawings, Zoning, Envelope, Loads
  4. Schedules, HVAC - Air-Side and Plant Side Systems, Domestic Hot Water Systems, Utilities and Metering

Advanced two day course:

The advanced two day course follows the same path as the introductory course but delves further into the details of modeling specific loads and systems. The two day course also looks at modeling efficiency using text editing, global parameters, and the BDL language as well as LEED and ASHRAE 90.1 modeling.  The topics covered include:

  1. Energy Model Calculations - Loads, response factors, system calculations
  2. Details of eQUEST file structure: BDL Language and text editing
  3. Wizards, Importing Drawings, Zoning, Envelope, Loads
  4. Detail schedules, eQUEST libraries
  5. HVAC - Air-Side and Plant Side Systems, Zone and System Level Controls
  6. Domestic Hot Water Systems, Utilities and Metering
  7. Supplementary Tools: Therm 7, Windows 7, Quality Control, Homer, PV Watts, Building America,
  8. Modeling Efficiency: Text editing, functions, global parameters
  9. LEED and ASHRAE 90.1 Energy Modeling Overview
